Tutors United

Tutors United which was founded to address youth unemployment and educational inequality, delivers confidence-boosting attainment-raising tutorials, ensuring a child’s socio-economic background doesn’t hinder how much they can achieve in life.

The donation from Building Brighter Futures will allow the charity to extend its programme and run a further six, weekly sessions in maths and English for 36 pupils from low-income families in social housing.

By hiring and training local university students to deliver the tuition, Tutors United provides consistent, paid employment as well as a chance to develop the students’ employability skills. The inspiring tutors form a secondary group of beneficiaries, as many are from similar backgrounds to the children.
