MAP, Youth Mentoring
Charity MAP is receiving continued support from EMR Norwich, a local metal recycler based in the heart of the community.
Supporting young people throughout the county of Norfolk, MAP offers services for those aged 11 – 25 who are experiencing issues relating to anything from education, employment and finances to mental health, sexuality and gender. The charity helps young people grow into confident adults who make positive choices in their lives, supporting them by offering independent advice and advocacy, counselling and therapeutic services, and youth work groups and activities.
In continuation of the support provided in 2021, EMR Norwich has provided a £2,000 donation; enabling MAP to offer 57 hours of 1-to-1 mentoring which will support up to 10 young people. These sessions will focus on helping individuals to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience as well as helping them to identify their strengths and build aspirations.
This donation was given as part of EMR’s Young Futures Reimagined Programme. Established in 2020, this programme helps young people across the country to build brighter futures by offering resources that may not organically be available to them.
