The Benjamin Foundation

Local metal recycler, EMR Lenwade, continues to partner with local charity, The Benjamin Foundation, to support its tenancy programme.

Since 2021, EMR Lenwade has collaborated with The Benjamin Foundation, a charity that has supported young people and families across Norfolk and Suffolk for over 25 years. To help individuals combat challenges they may face, the charity offers a number of support services from homelessness and housing support, childcare and emotional wellbeing support.

Each night the Benjamin Foundation accommodates almost 200 young people, equating to over 50,000 nights of safe nights sleeping each year. EMR Lenwade have given a £2,000 donation to support the foundations tenancy programme, facilitating the vital support in providing funds for individuals to purchase essential items and pay bills.

“Our tenancy support service extends the ladder of help provided, enabling young people to transition to and sustain their upward progress towards independent living.“With the cost-of-living crisis and increasing utility costs, we are so grateful to EMR group for their donation, which will enable us to do even more to support local young people to successfully manage and sustain their own tenancies.”
